Position Description:
This is a pool recruitment for academic, non-tenure track, limited-term appointments for part-time Lecturer positions. We are seeking qualified candidates with current knowledge and work experience who can create an interactive and engaging learning environment for students. Lecturer positions are dependent upon instructional needs for the 2024-2025 academic year. To see possible course descriptions, visit: https://law.ucdavis.edu/registrar/course-descriptions.html. Creating a new course is also a possibility.

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must have a J.D. or equivalent degree, be a member of the bar in good standing or be a Judge, and possess exemplary professional experience in the substantive area of law covered by the course(s).

Expected Duties:
General responsibilities include: Teaching, holding office hours, assigning grades, advising students, preparing course materials (e.g., syllabus), and other duties as assigned.

Screening of applicants begins immediately and will continue as needed. Decisions will be made on a rolling basis and the timing of decisions will vary according to a variety of factors including curricular need and course scheduling. Candidates under consideration will be contacted by the School of Law. The applicant pool will close on February 27, 2025; candidates who have yet to receive an offer and who are interested in remaining in the pool after that time will need to submit a new application.
