Temp Procurement Contracts Attorney (Location Flexible)

The Temp Procurement Contracts Attorney is responsible for supporting the contract lifecycle management and serves as the liaison between the business and vendors. The Contract Attorney will work as part of a team responsible for contracts and purchasing of goods and services and will report to the Senior Contracts Administrator.

This position may sit in any of our U.S. offices.

In this capacity, the Temp Procurement Contacts Attorney will:
  • Review, redline, finalize, coordinate and manage contracts related to the procurement process with competing priorities and deadlines;
  • Develop strong working relationships with Procurement, Vendor Management team members and stakeholders;
  • Ensure that all contracts and agreements accurately reflect business objectives as well as compliance with all laws and regulatory requirements;
  • Collaborate with Procurement team to ensure timely processing of all contracts and amendments, and tracking of all client and vendor contracts;
  • Participate in collaborative discussions with team to resolve contract terms and conditions and address priorities;
  • Communicate with vendors and team throughout the contract process to ensure efficiency and accuracy in the contracts process;
  • Manage workload by setting priorities in collaboration with team; demonstrate ability to multi-task; organize work and manage time to achieve maximum efficiency; keep team informed of work/project status; consistently improve team results by taking initiative and assuming more responsibility;
  • Clearly communicate with internal resources and third party vendors during the Procurement Lifecycle as it relates to the contracts review role; and
  • Perform other duties as requested.

  • Law degree and current bar admission in the jurisdiction state in which they live;
  • At least 3 years of progressive experience in writing, managing, editing business contracts procurement of hardware, software, and services;
  • At least 5 years of experience in a professional services or legal environment (preferred);
  • Understanding of contracting in support of software technology solutions;
  • Experience with non-disclosure agreements, professional service agreements, MSAs, SOWs, and software licensing is preferred;
  • Experience with IP Provisions, Limitation of Liability and Indemnification negotiation, as well as Data Privacy, Data Security and GDPR, a plus;
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills;
  • Goal and process oriented with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and use sound judgment to plan and accomplish objectives;
  • Excellent drafting, problem solving, communications and interpersonal skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Ability to collaborate and work effectively with others;
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail;
  • Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to identify and troubleshoot issues;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Word and related document editing, redlining and comparison applications;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Outlook and web-based conference call/web-sharing applications;
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet;
  • Advanced proficiency in rules of English grammar, spelling and punctuation;
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Acrobat Pro; and
  • Advanced proficiency in DocuSign.
