We are currently seeking a Summer Legal Fellow to support our legal team during the summer of 2019. The Legal Fellow will have the opportunity to join a cohort of other summer interns and receive guidance from senior leaders while taking part in substantive, hands-on projects on the legal team. The Summer Legal Fellow will gain an understanding of healthcare and corporate law, overall operations at at a growing startup, and the complexities of the US healthcare system.
What we work on changes from one week to the next, but it’s likely the Legal Fellow will dig into one or more of the following:
Legal research related to health care fraud, waste, and abuse
Assist with a variety of contracts, particularly those implicating confidential information and IP.
Work closely with the Outreach team in connection with contracts entered into between Aledade subsidiaries and various practice
Help update and organize company legal templates
Work within our document management system
A first or second-year law student in the top half of their class, with a strong interest in health law, corporate law and policy.
A savvy and tenacious legal researcher comfortable with both high-level and specific lines of inquiry.
A clear and concise communicator who can produce a good legal memo and who is equally comfortable conveying legal ideas informally in meetings and over email.
A focused, independent multi-tasker interested in being part of a small in-house legal team at a fast-growing start-up.
