Job Description Summary:
  • The Travelers Summer Associate Staff Counsel Program is open to 1 or 2 year law students.
  • The goal of the Summer Associate Program is to develop high potential candidates who will have the opportunity to work directly with experienced attorneys in the Staff Counsel Organization during the summer months.
  • The Summer Associate will be responsible for providing legal research, preparing discovery, drafting briefs, motions, and observe proceedings in various courts.
  • Summer Associates will receive mentoring including attending depositions, court appearances and trials/hearings. They will interact with business partners and clients as appropriate and will receive substantive feedback on assignments.
  • This is a temporary summer internship position that runs for a ten to twelve week period from May 2021 to August 2021 which can provide valuable hands-on exposure to a 1 or 2 year law school student seeking a professional and challenging experience. Interns in this program are paid $28.00 per hour with an intended 40 hour work week.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Currently attending an accredited law school.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word
