ServiceNow is seeking an experienced and motivated attorney with 8+ years of relevant marketing and brand support experience to join our legal team. The position will play a key role as a legal partner to marketing, communications and brand teams, advancing ServiceNow’s growing global brand and marketing strategy.

This full-time position and will report to the Senior Director, Litigation, Marketing & Trademark. This is an excellent opportunity to join ServiceNow’s expanding legal team and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

What you get to do in this role:
  • Negotiate and draft a wide range of marketing and brand-related terms and agreements worldwide, including promotions, sponsorship and event terms; trademark licensing; and advertising and media agreements, while fostering a close relationship with global marketing, communications, brand, events and partner marketing teams
  • Provide creative and practical legal advice and counsel for global corporate marketing, communications and product and partner marketing teams to ensure compliance with applicable IP, advertising, privacy and telecommunications laws
  • Lead support for events and campaign teams, overseeing legal review of public-facing marketing collateral and claims
  • Lead internal legal education, training and guideline development and maintenance on advertising and marketing law topics

Qualifications:
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
  • A JD degree with a strong academic record from an accredited law school
  • Current membership in a state bar in good standing
  • In-house experience strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of relevant substantive experience independently drafting and negotiating advertising, marketing and trademark related agreements, terms of use, licenses, and event and promotions terms globally.
  • Strong subject matter expertise on the application of global privacy laws and telecommunications laws to marketing teams and marketing vendors
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to foster trust, respect, and collaboration with senior-level internal clients
  • Strong independent motivation, with the ability to work on significant and unique issues, often without precedent, and experience leading complex projects and managing change for business clients
  • Trademark prosecution and brand enforcement experience across all aspects of growing, maintaining and protecting a global trademark portfolio strongly preferred
