Description:
A fast-growing publicly-listed power generation company with global operations seeks an attorney with 7+ years of experience in anti-corruption, UK Bribery Act, and Foreign Corrupt Practices Act compliance matters and internal investigations to play an integral role in the company’s anti-corruption compliance program. Position responsibilities include:

Anti-Corruption Compliance & Investigations
  • Provide advice on anti-corruption law and compliance, including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, UK Bribery Act, and other anti-bribery laws and conventions as applicable to the Company’s global operations
  • Provide advice on US and EU economic sanctions and related regulations
  • Conduct and supervise compliance and anti-corruption due diligence on potential mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, project development, and other transactions
  • Conduct or oversee compliance and anti-corruption due diligence on third-party service providers
  • Develop and provide anti-corruption and Code of Conduct and related trainings and communications to employees globally
  • Develop and update the Company’s compliance-related policies
  • Conduct and oversee internal investigations of potential misconduct; provide related advice to Company management, and
  • Support the Compliance function’s reporting to the Audit Committee and Board of Directors.

Required educational background and experience:
  • JD with excellent academic and professional credentials
  • US-trained; US state bar admission
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in litigation, investigations, and/or anti-corruption compliance counseling at US-based or international law firm, in government, or in-house
  • Technical expertise in FCPA/anti-bribery and economic sanctions compliance
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent presentation and training skills

Independent, self-starter, self-possessed, etc. Desire for international travel a must.
