A Dynamic Full-Service Law Firm Assisting Clients in The Mid-Atlantic Region is seeking an Intellectual Property (IP) attorney to join its growing IP practice. This role will involve all phases of a sophisticated IP practice but will focus largely on patents: patent drafting & prosecution, global patent portfolio management, freedom-to-operate analysis (non-infringement/invalidity analysis), patent litigation support, and portfolio analysis for a wide range of innovators.

We are looking for 8+ years of experience in patent law, with substantial experience in patent preparation, patent prosecution, and patent counseling. Experience with patent litigation, trademark law, copyright, and trade secret is an advantage but is not required.

Experience with electrical engineering or software is required but experience with complex mechanical (electrical focus) will be considered. Registration to practice before U.S. Patent & Trademark Office is required.
