What you’ll achieve As Legal Counsel, you will serve as a member of the Dell Technologies Marketing Legal team providing proactive, business conscious and innovative legal support for the Dell Technologies Global Marketing organization. You’ll advise Marketing team members and leadership on a wide range of legal and privacy issues and risks; liaise with outside counsel; drive key strategic initiatives including developing team and departmental processes and programs; and develop and manage strong, lasting client relationships up to the senior management level.
Provide proactive, strategic counsel to marketing clients around a variety of marketing, privacy, and advertising practices and technologies
Lead legal support for Marketing Operations and other members of the global marketing organization
Partner with Marketing Operations and IT clients to operationalize privacy and legal compliance, working closely with Dell Technologies Privacy Legal team and regional counsel
Provide guidance and serve as an escalation point for team paralegals reviewing marketing claims and materials
Proactively develop and drive strategic projects and initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and effectiveness of legal services and proactive risk management, including through new templates, trainings, and processes
Provide practical, concise verbal and written counsel to business clients and proactively identify solutions based on a strong understanding of business goals and priorities

JD degree with admission to at least one state bar.
5-7+ years’ relevant experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department.
Subject matter expertise in global marketing, consumer protection and privacy laws and standards, including Section 5 of the FTC Act, state UDAPs, CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR, CCPA.
Strong understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and legal and privacy issues and risks surrounding advertising technologies, ecommerce personalization, affiliate marketing, tracking and lead generation technology and associated data collection and consent requirements
Superior written and verbal communication skills with a track record of translating complex legal analysis into practical and actionable legal guidance.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, set priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced work environment.
A desire to work collaboratively, learn, develop yourself and maintain a positive attitude.
Experience advising on advertising agency management
Experience advising on advertising and marketing agreements, such as various releases and licenses, co-promotion agreements, talent and influencer agreements, sponsorships, and vendor contracts related to media buying and advertising technologies.
Experience with public speaking and/or legal training.
Strong project management and organizational skills.
