USC Gould School of Law is seeking an instructor to teach our online Intellectual Property: Trademark class. Students enrolled in this course are pursuing our online Master of Studies in Law (MSL), online Master of Laws (LLM), and online Graduate Certificate programs.
Online curriculum for the course will be provided to the instructor. We expect that the instructor will spend approximately 10-15 hours of work per week on instruction of the course, including hosting a weekly one-hour live class via Zoom, as well as the timely grading of assignments and communication with students. The Spring 2022 semester will run from January 12, 2022 to April 26, 2022.
Candidates should have strong professional background in the field, preferably with law school and/or online teaching experience.
Intellectual Property: Trademark (2 units) provides a detailed survey of federal trademark law form a practical perspective, including the federal trademark registration process and the application of trademark laws in litigation and transactional contexts. Students will also learn about the "ICANN" system and laws relating to internet domain names.
