Position Description
A graduate student in an institution of higher education employed in support of a department or unit responsible for work assigned by the supervisor within the unit or department, which utilizes knowledge beyond undergraduate academic studies.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Researching and analyzing legal and policy matters.
  • Drafting memorandum, reports, fact sheets, and other written materials.
  • Tracking federal and state health legislation.
  • Providing assistance in contract drafting and editing.
  • Performing other assignments, as required.

Required Qualifications
  • Graduate student currently enrolled.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Must have excellent research, writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks and take initiative.
  • Must be able to work independently.
  • Must be a current first or second year TTU law student and be able to work at least 20 hours per week for a approximately 15 weeks.
  • Must be in the top 50% of class.
  • Prefer candidates with demonstrated interest and experience in health care law.
