A Law Clerk will provide support to the Managing Attorney.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist and counsel lawyers on their primary duties in preparation for legal proceedings, prepares and organizes various documents (affidavits, briefs, pleadings, etc.) in support of litigation practices and confers with clients or court staff to collect information.
Prepare memoranda and briefs with accurate information on specific cases.
Provide assistance prior and during a court proceeding by preparing for a case and examining the related legal documents.
Attend court sessions in order to listen to and record critical information.
Learn firm operations and various process and procedures from the ground up.
Supervise the work and activities of staff.
Filling as a floater to accommodate overflow of daily workload and when other team members are absent.
Preparing and formatting and drafting standard, routine pleadings, correspondence, and other documents.
Filing pleadings electronically with courts that have been approved by the attorney and recording confirmation of submission when no filing fee is required.s
Work tasks and projects as directed by Managing Attorney.

Educations and Qualifications
Currently enrolled in Juris Doctor Program at an accredited Law School
All employees must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
