The Associate must have excellent research, writing, and analytical skills, and must be licensed to practice law in the state of New Jersey. A candidate who is licensed to practice in both NJ & NY District Courts is preferred, but not required.
Duties include but are not limited to:
All phases of pre-litigation investigation.
Preparing demands for settlements and mediation packages.
Propounding and preparing answers to discovery.
Overseeing the paralegal and ensuring workload is accurate and efficiently managed.
Drafting and filing motions and oppositions to summary judgment motions.
Court appearances in Central and Northern NJ.
Defend Plaintiffs’ deposition and conduct depositions of defendants and fact witnesses.
Communication with Court, insurance companies, experts. Substantial client contact.
Analyzing our processes and helping to streamline operations.
1-3 years relevant litigation experience.
JD admitted to NJ Bar.
Approximately 10% travel is required.
