As a Graduate Law Clerk you will provide legal support to civil litigation attorneys at the County Counsel's downtown (CAC) offices, beginning in July, 2020. Incumbent may be expected to assist with a wide variety of projects, with an emphasis on civil rights litigation, including but not limited to: legal research and writing, motion/brief work, documents review, discovery and trial preparation. He/she may also be asked to work on advisory projects, depending on office need.
Applicants must have graduated from an accredited law school within the last twelve (12) months AND must have applied for, and be eligible to take the next California State Bar Examination.
Required Licenses, Certifications Or Registrations
A valid California Class C driver's license, which must be maintained throughout employment in this class, is required at time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel. Employees in this class may be required to use their own vehicle.
