The Delivery Legal Team is a group of legal professionals who are committed to providing high quality legal advice. As the accountable legal relationship managers with the Uber Delivery teams, our attorneys - supported by other legal staff - ensure that the expertise of Uber's Legal Department is brought to bear on the products, processes, and systems that power the business.
About the Role We're looking for an exceptional attorney to join our Delivery legal team, which supports the business, operations and product teams responsible for the technology that powers millions of Uber Eats and other item deliveries around the world every day.
What You'll Do
Serve as a front-line attorney advising Uber's dynamic product managers, engineers, deal makers, designers, analysts, and operations specialists who develop, launch, and constantly improve the technology that powers the Uber Delivery platform.
Identify and resolve wide-ranging legal issues, including consumer protection, privacy, data security, transactional and commercial law, litigation risk, intellectual property, licensing, and antitrust, working directly with business clients to provide on-the-ground support, and advising clients on how to navigate emerging regulatory issues.
Collaborate closely with colleagues in the Delivery legal team and other legal teams, such as Employment, Privacy, IP, and Marketing, to provide comprehensive advice, and solve legal problems quickly for the teams you support.
Review products, features, and initiatives to assess legal compliance across multiple jurisdictions, from the early stages of product development through launch.
Assess new and emerging regulatory content and advise colleagues and how Uber can successfully navigate these frameworks.
Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, including non- disclosure, master services, promotional, and software licensing agreements.
Draft terms and conditions, FAQs, legal disclaimers, and other policies governing the use of Uber products and services.
Create and implement policies and practices to ensure consistent implementation of legal guidance and alignment on risks.
Minimum of 4+ years of legal experience in private practice, government, and/or in-house.
J.D. and license to practice law in at least one state.
Minimum of 6+ years of legal experience in private practice, government, and/or in-house.
Confidence operating in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to perform in nimble, rapidly changing and growing environments.
History of driving efficient and strategic use of resources, including technical groups, in-house counsel, vendors, and outside counsel.
Strong team orientation encouraging communication and cooperation across organizations and functions.
Inquisitiveness, along with the ability to spot issues, get to the heart of a matter, and articulate plans to address them.
Strong communication skills and demonstrated experience working with business leaders.

Experience with mobile products or technology platforms.
Experience with reviewing, drafting and negotiating a variety of commercial agreements, including SaaS and licensing agreements.
Experience comparing and contrasting regulations in multiple global markets
