Description:
We are looking for a motivated, self-driven individual to join our Legal team who will represent the organization on a variety of legal matters in support of T-Mobile’s Consumer Market team. The Corporate Counsel will be part of the team and provide day-to-day legal advice on a variety of matters, including store licensing, training, policies & procedures, local jurisdictional issues, and support of multiple operational initiatives. This role also supports the T-Mobile for Business teams in support of third party resale contracts for services offered to our T-Mobile for Business customers. This includes providing clients with both legal advice on legal, compliance and regulatory issues, as well as guidance on strategic business relationships, drafting and a variety of complex agreements, and supporting the operational roll-out of the resale services. This role also requires the ability to work cross-functionally with other Legal teams and collaboratively with leadership to advise on legal matters and solve problems.

What you’ll do in your role.
  • Negotiate and draft complex agreements and transactions
  • Advise the business in assessing short-term goals in the context of long-term goals
  • Advise on a broad range of strategic legal and business matters
  • Help drive departmental initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for several specialty areas within the sales and distribution organization
  • Effectively and efficiently engage and manage outside counsel relationships as needed
  • Think like the “Uncarrier” in the context of all that you do for T-Mobile, with a solution-orientated approach to all matters

The experience you’ll bring.
  • JD from an ABA-accredited law school, with admission to the state bar and the ability to become a licensed attorney or in-house counsel in the applicable state jurisdictions (Washington, Kansas, Texas)
  • 5+ years of experience as a business attorney, with relevant in-house and/or law firm experience
  • Experience handling retail store matters and complex transactional matters and often a high volume or high complexity of work with the ability to prioritize, work efficiently, meet demanding deadlines, and balance multiple tasks in a fast-paced sales environment
  • Able to handle diverse projects in unrelated areas
  • Quick learner with flexibility to take on matters in new areas
  • Creative problem solver with focus on compliance, operational efficiencies, and the customer
  • Ability to establish self as subject matter expert in specialty field
  • Results oriented attorney with executive maturity and ability to interact with senior management
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical, drafting, negotiation, and research skills
  • Ability to collaborate and team-up with other legal and business professionals in a complex organization with a focus on delivering results
  • Ability to operate independently and effectively in a dynamic environment
  • 18 years of age
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • T-Mobile requires all employees in this position to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 prior to starting work. The CDC defines “fully vaccinated” as two weeks after the second dose for Pfizer and Moderna, and two weeks after the single dose of Johnson & Johnson.
