Quantcast is hiring a Corporate Counsel to join the Legal team in our San Francisco office.

As the real-time pulse of the Internet, Quantcast runs the world’s largest AI-driven insights and measurement platform directly quantifying over 100 million web destinations. Using machine learning to drive human learning, Quantcast provides brand marketers and publishers with meaningful audience insights, predictive targeting and measurement solutions across the customer journey.

We’re looking for a hardworking person to fill a Corporate Counsel role in our Legal department. This position is ideal for someone who seeks a diverse set of challenges and enjoys the opportunity to regularly develop new skills and legal/business knowledge. The qualified candidate will have 4-6 years of relevant experience with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial transactions, in either a top tier law firm or in an in-house corporate setting; experience with online media industry is a strong plus.

Responsibilites
  • Review, assess and negotiate a wide range of domestic and international agreements, including vendor agreements, software licenses, media agreements and insertion orders, strategic alliance agreements, master service agreements, and other commercial contracts.
  • Assist with data privacy and security issues and agreements.
  • Provide ongoing recommendations regarding improvement of processes and policies.
  • Opportunity to work on other legal department projects, such as employment or international expansion.

Requirements
  • JD from a top-tier university
  • California bar admission in good standing (or qualified for and willing to apply for/maintain Registered In-House Counsel status with California State Bar)
  • A collaborative team member who possesses good judgment, high integrity and the ability to balance the important business and legal priorities of the company.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, and is highly organized and attentive to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations, multiple projects, and solve problems creatively in a fast paced work setting a must.
  • A team player and fun to work with/good sense of humor!
