The position is Associate General Counsel in the Aeronautics Legal department in a junior attorney capacity in the Programs Group and reports to F-35 Program Counsel but will provide support across all Aeronautics programs (F-35, F-16/F-22, C-130, Skunk Works).
Position requires collaboration across Legal Department, as follows:
Provides legal advice and services to internal legal and business clients across Aeronautics’ programs concerning legal rights, obligations, and privileges of the company.
Assists program attorneys with legal advice to internal business clients on transactional agreements such as non-disclosure agreements, proprietary information agreements, software licensing agreements and other matters.
Drafts, reviews and negotiates contract terms and conditions.
Keeps current on statutes, regulations and decisions of judicial and legislative bodies.
Supports Freedom of Information Act
(FOIA) reviews (domestic and international) and mishap investigations.
Assists with audits, compliance reviews and other matters.
Develops, reviews, or implements functionally specific training programs.
Manages outside counsel.
MUST BE A US CITIZEN - This position is located in a facility that may require special access.
A level 4 employee Typically has 9 - 15 years of professional experience.
( inclusive of post-secondary education).

Experience advising clients on business and transactional matters (contracts, agreements).
Experience providing counseling on Government programs.

4 years providing counsel on Government contracts.
Experience with legal research and drafting.
Domestic and/or international contract experience.
Experience conducting or supporting Government investigations.
Experiencing reviewing and negotiating intellectual property agreements.
Experience developing, reviewing or implementing company-wide and/or functionally specific training programs.
Demonstrated superior judgment and work product.
Experience in Aerospace/Defense industry.
Ability to collaborate on a team.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
