Associate General Counsel

Description:
Alta Trust is looking for an attorney to serve as associate general counsel for the company. We have great outside counsel and lots of legal resources but need someone who can handle many of the contractual items that come up, provide counsel to our board and coordinate with outside counsel. This position is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to work on an hourly basis with a flexible schedule.
The right candidate will...
- Have at least 5 years of legal experience
- Be excellent with contracts
- Provide wise counsel
- Ideally will have worked with banks or trust companies in the past
- Ideally will have general knowledge of trust law
- Ideally will have been exposed to securities law and ERISA
- Preferably will work from Sioux Falls, South Dakota but we are willing to be flexible for the right candidate.
