The primary responsibilities of the Associate General Counsel will include reviewing contracts, leases, employment agreements, confidentiality agreements, licensing agreements, and other ancillary contracts as may be necessary. Will also assist to implement nationwide health care compliance program and will work closely and maintain working relationships with service providers, risk management, vendors, and employees to resolve issues as appropriate.
Support regulated-businesses contract needs, including identifying and consulting regarding potential regulatory implications.
Effectively negotiates time-sensitive agreements with employees, vendors, government agencies, and other institutions.
Handle licensing agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements.
Maintain regular communication and collaboration with General Counsel, compliance personnel, and other departments within organization as well as service providers, to ensure compliance with federal and state laws and institutional policy.
Stay abreast of legal, regulatory and institutional requirements as they apply to health care organizations.
Member of Illinois State Bar
Relevant legal experience in Corporate and Health Care Law
Strong communications skills to work with staff, trustees, and other professionals
Ability to work independently
Efficiency, diligence and ability to multitask required
