What we’re looking for?
An Associate Counsel to support our US and International Legal teams on a variety of projects, chiefly those surrounding commercial leasing, company and vendor contracts, and general commercial law and liability matters. The ideal candidate is an organized self-starter with good business acumen who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute to the continuing success of the team.

What You'll Do?
  • Draft, review, negotiate and interpret a variety of transactional and commercial agreements with vendors and partners;
  • Draft, review, negotiate and interpret an array of commercial lease agreements as well as identify their compliance requirements and ensuring they are within industry norms;
  • Advising on the business terms of established commercial agreements;
  • Support the General Counsel as well as our international legal teams and management with a wide variety of corporate and commercial projects;
  • Drive the continuous improvement of standard form agreements, legal processes, organizational processes, and document management standards;
  • Support our General Counsel and international legal teams on the creation, implementation, and improvement of company-wide legal processes and procedures.

Who We Are Looking For?
  • 5-7+ years experience in contracting & or commercial lease agreements preferably in-house;
  • Nevada, New York, Massachusetts, Illinois, and or Washington DC Bar Membership as well as experience practicing within these states;
  • Food & beverage & retail industry experience preferred;
  • Experience with corporate law matters as well as the regulatory bodies that govern them;
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the desire and ability to develop productive and collaborative working relationships with stakeholders across Buyk both domestically and internationally;
  • Prior experience in startups or rapidly scaling organizations, including managing demanding timelines from multiple stakeholders a definitely plus.
