Hatch & Cesario, a law firm dedicated to representing school districts, charter schools, and SELPAs in all areas of special education, Section 504, and general student issues, has full-time and part-time associate attorney openings in its Thousand Oaks office and virtually for the San Diego office. We seek team players who are enthusiastic, collaborative, and have excellent people skills. All candidates must have strong research and writing skills, work well under timelines, and function proactively and creatively. Candidates should have 3-5 years of legal experience, and ideally, administrative or litigation hearing experience.
Work includes assisting clients in the IEP process, attending mediations and client meetings, conducting trainings, responding to state and federal compliance complaints, and handling administrative due process hearings and federal court litigation. For the Thousand Oaks office, travel will be required to clients in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and Orange Counties. Though the San Diego office is virtual, travel will be required to clients in San Diego, Los Angeles, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange Counties.
