The Kirby G. Smith Law Firm is a fast-growing employment law boutique firm in the Dunwoody/Perimeter area of Atlanta. We represent plaintiffs/employees in cases of discrimination, retaliation, wrongful termination, ERISA actions, FLSA actions, and FMLA actions, among others.
As an Associate Attorney with our firm, you will begin by working in a hybrid role. You will spend some time as a staff attorney, supporting other attorneys at the firm while you learn the different steps in the employment law process. You will also act as the main point of contact and lead attorney working on clients assigned to you. The eventual goal will be to carry your own book of clients. You will handle the case from the initial drafting of the demand letter all the way through trial. Support staff and supervisory attorneys will be readily available to assist you. We also have a peer review process for all of your pleadings and motions. Training will be provided as well as a library of research and information about this niche practice area. This is a position that gives you responsibilities you wouldn't otherwise receive until much later in your career with a large firm, balancing those responsibilities with a full support network to provide assistance along the way. This is a partnership-track position.
This is a remote work position. Office space and conference room space is available as needed, which is generally weekly-monthly after training. You will be in office full time during training.
While growing, we're still a small firm. We're a close-knit group that takes pride in helping each other and making sure everyone is achieving the best results possible. Even though you are leading the way on your cases, you will not be left on an island.
Georgia bar admission is required. Experience in customer service is preferred. Experience in employment law is preferred. Submit a cover letter and resume for consideration.
Salary and Benefits
Salary is $75,000 - $90,000 per year. You will earn commission on all cases, including cases where you are not the primary attorney. As your client base grows and cases move through the litigation process, your salary will also grow. There is no cap on commissions - experience, tenure, seniority, etc. will not limit that fact. Paid leave, retirement benefits, and healthcare benefits are available.
Thank you for your interest.
