The Office of the Attorney General is seeking applicants for an Assistant Attorney General at the Maryland Department of Human Services.
This attorney will represent the Department, its officials and employees, and the local departments of social services, in State and federal court in a variety of trial and appellate litigation, including child welfare, employment, and tort cases, and will provide advice to the Office of The Secretary and the Social Services Administration about various matters including child welfare and adult services.
Experience: The ideal candidate will have at least three years of legal experience, including trial and appellate litigation experience, and excellent writing skills. Experience in child welfare and family law is helpful, but not required. Maryland Bar admission is required.
