As the Trust Counsel you will partner with Wealth Advisors, Trust, Tax and Investment Teams to provide clients with complete trust, estate and investment management services; including estates, personal trusts, LLC's, foundations and any other appropriate fiduciary capacity.

Responsibilities:
Daily responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
  • Provide ongoing day-to-day legal advice and support for the SYB Wealth Management Group.
  • Responsible for ongoing trust and estate administration in accordance with the trust instruments and the client relations – includes reviewing wills and trust agreements and determining fiduciary responsibilities and trust accountings.
  • Identify, evaluate and escalate legal and regulatory developments and risks.
  • Oversee policies and procedures relating to trust administration with applicable regulations.
  • Provide legal analysis of new business opportunities.
  • Oversee external counsel used to support the SYB Wealth Management Group.
  • Provide legal support for special projects as needed.
  • Develop new and additional business among existing trust clients.

Job Requirements:
The successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
  • J.D. degree is required.
  • Minimum 10 years' experience with trust laws and estate administration.
  • Proven ability to successfully interact with clients and internal partners.
  • Ability to organize and supervise trust and estate workloads.
  • Proven experience advising clients and partners on legal plans of action.
  • Licensed to practice laws in Kentucky.
  • May be responsible for the supervision of an administrative assistant.
