Intern Dates: May 20th, 2024 - August 9th, 2024, paid internship

Summary:
A meaningful educational experience for a law student interested in practicing healthcare law. This position provides an opportunity to gain valuable exposure to the day-to-day legal and operational issues affecting health systems like CHRISTUS Health. The selected Intern will work on a variety of projects to support learning objectives in areas such as regulatory compliance, transactions, and litigation. This position will also provide the Intern with networking opportunities that include interactions with members of the A Health Care Company Legal Services Department as well as other A Health Care Company leaders and Associates.

Requirements:
  • Enrolled in a J.D. or health-related L.L.M. program at an accredited law school.
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited law school pursuing a J.D. or enrolled in an L.L.M. program concentrating on health law
  • Demonstrated interest in healthcare law
  • PC and Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively work with others
  • Quick learner with attention to detail, high degree of confidentiality and solid organizational skills
  • Resourceful, innovative and persuasive with ability to problem solve and troubleshoot
