Description:

Position Summary: Responsible for the provision of legal services to Navajo Nation Gaming Enterprise (A Gambling Facilities and Casinos Company) to ensure maximum protection of its legal rights, identify legal liabilities, and to maintain its operations within the limits prescribed by law. Advises and counsels A Gambling Facilities and Casinos Company officers, management, and departments on the implementation of A Gambling Facilities and Casinos Company's mission and operations. Maintains strict confidentiality of privileged information.

Minimum Qualifications: Juris Doctorate from an American Bar Association accredited law school plus five (5) years attorney experience with a minimum of two (2) years of experience with the Navajo Nation or other Tribal government legal system (e.g. Tribal courts, commissions, committees, and hearing officers). Regulation and legal drafting experience required. State Bar License, New Mexico, or Arizona preferred. Navajo Nation Bar License required. Management and gaming experience preferred. Must meet all knowledge skills and abilities. Valid driver's license. Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older. No felony, theft, or stealing convictions. Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment drug/alcohol screening, background investigation, and obtain and maintain gaming licenses. Navajo preference applies.
