The Administrative Office of the Courts is the operational arm of the Judicial Branch. The court system employs nearly 3,300 personnel who support 406 elected justices, judges, and circuit court clerks.

The Kenton County Circuit Court has an immediate need for a Staff Attorney. Interested candidates must submit a cover letter and a writing sample along with their application.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Perform legal research and record analysis pertaining to cases before the court.
  • Draft of opinions, orders, and judgements.
  • Assist court in editing and release of opinions.
  • Assist court in preparing jury instructions.
  • Advise court as to current changes in the law and recent decisions.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Education: Advanced Degree- Graduate of Accredited Law School
  • Experience, Training, or Skills: None
  • Substitute Education for Experience: None
  • Substitute Experience for Education: None
  • Special Requirements (Age, Licensure, Regulation, ETC.): Must be a member of the Kentucky Bar Association or be taking every reasonable step to gain admission.

Working Conditions:
Work typically within office setting. Travel maybe required.
