Responsibilities:
  • Get hands-on with trials, mediations, and arbitration hearings, preparing meticulously to represent clients with zeal
  • Craft critical legal documents, including but not limited to, pleadings, motions, and a variety of notices and discovery documents, ensuring precision and adherence to legal standards
  • Step into courtrooms confidently to represent clients, presenting arguments and motions with persuasive clarity
  • Keep abreast of evolving legal landscapes, including local, state, and federal regulations, ensuring our strategies are built on solid legal foundations
  • Dive deep into legal research, constructing compelling briefs, pleadings, and motions that underscore clients' positions
  • Manage a dynamic caseload from its inception through to resolution, steering cases towards favorable outcomes with strategic oversight
  • Deliver comprehensive legal services, from the initial case evaluation to the final settlement, including managing discovery processes and drafting pivotal legal documents
  • Devise and implement strategic legal approaches, offering clients nuanced advice on their legal standing, while facilitating strong communications between the firm and clients
  • Champion clients' interests in various legal settings, including mediations, depositions, and court appearances, with a steadfast commitment to achieving the best possible results
  • Undertake thorough evidence gathering, collaborating with investigators and experts to fortify our case strategies and advance clients' interests
  • Interact proactively with a network of clients, financial experts, attorneys, and other key stakeholders to propel case progress efficiently
  • Negotiate settlements astutely, focusing on both liability and damage aspects to secure advantageous results for clients
  • Maintain meticulous records of case-related activities within the firm's Case Management System (CMS), ensuring accurate billing and comprehensive case tracking

Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
  • Must be in good standing with the California Bar Association
  • Proven success as a senior associate in a business litigation law firm is required
  • Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
  • At least 5 years of experience working as a senior associate attorney
  • Member of state and local bar associations in good standing
  • Persuasive writing skills and verbal communication skills are critical, along with time management and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work independently while handling multiple files
