An Austin Business & Commercial Law Attorney is seeking business litigation attorneys with 5-10+ years of experience who are self-motivated and eager to grow with the firm. This is a hybrid opportunity that will require some in-person attendance at the downtown office on an as-needed and flexible basis. Responsibilities:
- Ownership of case management and deadlines
- Manage and direct all aspects of discovery
- Supervise junior attorneys
- Formulate and draft effective pleadings, motions and responses
- Appear in court to argue motions and evidentiary hearings
- Prepare for, take and defend depositions
- Develop and implement legal strategies that efficiently achieve client goals
- Effectively interface with clients, colleagues, experts, opposing counsel, judges and courthouse staff
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in Texas
- Minimum of 5 years experience in business litigation
- Strong understanding of state and federal rules of civil procedure
- Ability to get along well with others and stay calm under pressure
