- Being Involved from case inception through conclusion. Pre-litigation demands, motion practice, discovery and depositions, mediations and court appearances.
- Prepare complex pleadings
- Prepare correspondence to clients, experts, and opposing attorneys
- Supervise the research and analysis of the law on complex issues; write and/or edit briefs/motions/documents for direct filing;
- Synthesize legal research and analysis into coherent written memoranda or brief for submission to a client or court;
- Appear in court on behalf of the firm's clients, argue motions and issues;
- Prepare for and attend depositions of plaintiffs, lay witnesses and expert witnesses;
- Investigate factual claims and recommend further investigation as needed;
- Participate in firm meetings on case strategy, leading discussion of certain cases and/or regarding certain firm clients;
- Negotiate with opposing counsel on issues in contention as well as ultimately potential resolution of cases.
- Other duties as needed to support our team.
- Jurius Doctorate Degree from an accredited university;
- Ca State Bar License in good standing (required);
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment;
- 5+ years litigation experience, including Federal court experience. Class action experience required
- Be an expert in Federal and State court rules;
- In depth knowledge and understanding of Federal procedure and filings, and motion practice. Ability to both take and defend depositions
- Superior legal writing and research skills
- Maintain strong time management and organizational skills;
- Attention to detail is paramount
- Be able to perform research and analysis of law, be able to write briefs and memoranda.
