Responsibilities:
- Legal Research:
- Conduct comprehensive legal research to support case strategies and arguments.
- Review, evaluate, and prepare cases for trial.
- Drafting Pleadings:
- Prepare legal documents, including complaints, responses to motions to dismiss (MTD), and motions for summary judgment (MSJ)
- Settlement Negotiations:
- Engage in settlement negotiations and alternative dispute resolution methods.
- Depositions:
- Prepare for and attend depositions, gathering crucial information for cases.
- Discovery Management:
- Prepare and respond to discovery requests and address associated issues.
- Court Hearings:
- Represent clients at court hearings and present legal arguments.
- Maintain consistent communication with clients, ensuring they are well-informed and engaged.
- Team Management:
- Manage a team of attorneys and legal staff.
- Handle a substantial caseload efficiently.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctorate Degree
- Admission to the Florida Bar
- Bilingual preferred (English and Spanish)
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Minimum 5 years of practice in first party property law
- Trial Experience
