Position Overview: We are seeking a talented and dedicated Pre-Litigation Attorney to join our esteemed team. The Pre-Litigation Attorney will play a pivotal role in managing client intake through the pre-litigation phase, Screening and signing up new clients and ensuring thorough case preparation and exceptional client service. This role presents an ideal opportunity for individuals who have litigation/personal injury experience in practice but are seeking a transition away from litigating, or for those with 2-5 years of personal injury experience who prefer to focus on pre-litigation matters rather than court appearances.

Please Note – this is an in-office opportunity in the Jonesboro area of Georgia.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough reviews of client cases to assess legal options and potential claims.
  • Collaborate with the intake department to screen and evaluate new leads and client files.
  • Conduct initial client consultations to gather information, provide legal guidance and open new cases.
  • Manage client communications and provide regular updates on case progress.
  • Draft demand letters to insurance companies, advocating for client damages and settlement demands.
  • Negotiate settlements with insurance adjusters on behalf of clients, striving for favorable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with medical providers and experts to obtain necessary evidence for case preparation.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files in the case management system.
  • Assist in the transition of cases to the litigation department as needed.

Qualifications:
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the State Bar and in good standing.
  • 2-5 years of experience practicing personal injury law. We will also consider a more senior, experienced PI attorney.
  • Proven ability to manage a caseload of personal injury cases from intake through pre-litigation.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a commitment to providing exceptional client service.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Familiarity with case management software and legal research tools.
