The Division of Accounting and Law at A Private Business School seeks applications for a Practice / Teaching Professor and/or a Visiting Professor in Business Law beginning Fall 2024. Our expectation is to hire at the Assistant level but individuals with exceptional experience could be considered at the Associate level. We seek intellectually curious colleagues who are aligned with our mission of educating responsible entrepreneurial leaders who create economic and social value everywhere.   • Primary responsibility for both positions involve teaching Business Law and Ethics in our undergraduate and graduate programs at our Wellesley, Massachusetts campus and hybrid programs. The ideal candidate also would be able to teach one or more law electives to undergraduate students. This is not a remote position. A J.D. or equivalent law degree is required.
  • We are seeking an accomplished full-time faculty member who:
  • Is enthusiastic about teaching Business Law for an entrepreneurially-focused, global, and multi-cultural student population
  • Has practiced law and understands the linkages between Business Law, strategic business development, and business operations
  • Presents the “why” as well as the “what” and “how” when teaching Business Law
  • Uses technology and innovative methods in course delivery
  • Works as a team player and collaborates with faculty in the law group and across disciplines, both in college service and in integrated teaching contexts
  • Is experienced with and committed to working in ways that will support and enhance the College's commitment to teaching that is aligned, engaged, and inclusive
  • Will develop a portfolio of practical and/or scholarly engagement to contribute to the greater practice and/or academic communities
  • Will be a collegial, engaged member of the community and dedicated to the success of the College and to the delivery of quality education to our students.
