Description:

A Law Firm Headquartered in Boston, MA's Intellectual Property Department has an opening in our Boston or New York office for a registered patent attorney with a Ph.D. in biochemistry, molecular biology or immunology.

We seek applicants with strong academic credentials and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Both entry-level and experienced candidates will be considered. Experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the areas of molecular biology, immunology, immunooncology, genetics, and agricultural biotechnology would be particularly useful.

A successful candidate who is not a registered patent agent will be expected to take and to pass the USPTO registration exam within a year of being hired.  Candidates are encouraged to review the USPTO eligibility criteria prior to applying.

We staff our clients' patent matters leanly, affording patent agents an opportunity for significant responsibility and excellent career development. Associates typically work one-on-one with partners, gain a depth of experience in a broad range of patent strategy, drafting, prosecution and diligence matters, and get immediate client contact. Such experience has contributed to the firm's consistently excellent rankings (http://foleyhoag.com/our-firm/rankings-and-accolades) in various national satisfaction surveys and industry recognition lists.
