About the Position:
The Juvenile Prosecutor is tasked with prosecuting criminal cases for the A Government Entity Attorney's Office and providing competent legal advice and services.
  • Prosecutors hired at a level I will be compensated at a range of $77,500.00 - $95,742.40 (Prorated based on part-time hours)
  • Prosecutors hired at a level II will be compensated at a range of $90,500.00 - $130,500.00 (Prorated based on part-time hours)
  • This position will be located at 3131 West Durango St., Phoenix, Arizona 85009

We Require
Juris Doctor (JD) from an American Bar Association (ABA) approved law school

Other Requirements:
Candidates who are currently admitted to practice law and are in good standing with the State Bar of Arizona

Job Contributions
  • Negotiate the just resolution of assigned cases and comply with Victims' Rights
  • Maintain professional relationships with victims, witnesses, law enforcement agencies, and members of the community
  • Discuss and present the analysis of legal issues
  • Conduct trials and present oral arguments as needed
  • Compose memoranda and pleadings regarding legal issues of concern as needed in assigned cases
  • Interview witnesses regarding facts as needed in the prosecution of the case(s)
  • Research and analyze legal issues using both computerized legal research and hard copy tools
  • Cover court and other duties as assigned
  • Comply with all rules regulating professional responsibility, including specific rules addressing the prosecutorial function

Working Conditions:
  • Office and courtroom setting in high-volume, fast-paced environment with frequent stressful situations
  • May require long periods of sitting while completing paperwork, standing, and moving about during the course of performing duties
  • Ability to travel to and from various county locations for court appearances, meetings, and trainings, utilizing personal or county-owned vehicle
  • Ability to move up to 20 pounds
