An American Internet Company Legal team is looking for an attorney to join the Partner Legal group, which provides legal support and counseling for all of An American Internet Company's partnerships, including product/technology integrations that extend our capabilities, and go-to-market relationships that help expand our reach. You'll report to the leader of the Partner Legal team and your role will focus on supporting An American Internet Company's growing partner ecosystem as well as drafting, negotiating, and closing partnership agreements with new go-to-market and technology partners. You will also provide critical legal support to key business stakeholders. This role will be based in Redwood City, CA, Chicago, IL or Austin, TX.

What You'll Do:
  • Draft, structure and negotiate agreements with resellers, system integrators and technology partners.
  • Provide legal support for transactions involving An American Internet Company partners.
  • Advise business stakeholders on partner program policies and legal documentation.
  • Collaborate with business leaders on updates and revisions to such policies where needed.
  • Provide legal guidance for, and interpretation of, existing agreements.
  • Work on projects to drive improvements to the partner ecosystem and train business stakeholders on legal issues.

Who You Are:
  • J.D. degree and membership in at least one U.S. state bar (CA, IL or TX preferred).
  • 3+ years of complex commercial transactions and/or technology licensing experience at a law firm, government, or in-house role, including experience drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
  • Experience drafting and negotiating license terms, warranties, indemnities and limits on liability.
  • Knowledge of enterprise software go-to-market strategies, alliances, partnerships, and technology partnerships as well as relevant industry trends and financial metrics.
  • Familiarity with antitrust regulations, FCPA compliance, and privacy concepts related to partner relationships.
  • Ability to work on cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a dedication to providing excellent customer service.
  • Attention to detail, yet capable of seeing and understanding strategic context.
  • Experience providing legal support globally preferred.
