Description:

An American Law Firm seeks to hire a highly qualified midlevel to senior associate with law firm experience to join our Corporate – Fund Formation practice group in the Baltimore, Los Angeles, New York or Washington, DC offices.

The ideal candidate for this position must demonstrate a minimum of 5-7 years of comprehensive experience in the formation and administration of private investment funds. Candidates should possess a background in corporate law practice acquired within a reputable law firm. Prior employment history within the Securities and Exchange Commission is advantageous.

Proficiency in navigating the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 and other pertinent federal securities statutes is preferred. The candidate should exhibit adeptness in providing counsel to emerging and established fund managers concerning structuring, market practices, regulatory compliance and all other aspects of private investment fund formation.

Prospective candidates must possess a Juris Doctor degree from an accredited law institution. Submission of law school transcripts is required with all applications. Applicants must demonstrate exceptional academic achievements coupled with proficiency in organizational prowess, meticulous drafting skills, effective communication capabilities, and discerning analytical acumen. Moreover, candidates should maintain active membership in the relevant state bar association.
