About Us:At A Medical/Professional Malpractice Defense Law Firm we are a group of dedicated trial attorneys with specialized skills and knowledge defending doctors, health care practitioners and other professionals against medical malpractice and general negligence lawsuits. We are looking for new associates and for experienced senior attorneys to join our growing team.
Those applying as senior attorneys should have strong experience in handling all aspects of medical malpractice and/or professional liability cases from inception through trial.
The ideal new associate will advocate for our clients by covering court appearances, drafting motions, preparing, and responding to discovery demands, reviewing and analyzing medical records, drafting reports, and other tasks as assigned and eventually progressing in to taking/defending depositions, reviewing cases with experts and preparing cases for trial. Junior/entry-level attorneys will be trained by senior attorneys and partners.
Qualifications:
- Admission to the New York Bar. (Pending admission will also be considered)
- 0-15 years experience in civil litigation (personal injury, medical malpractice, professional liability, insurance, etc...)
- Strong writing ability (motions, briefs, reports, etc...)
- Experience in medical malpractice preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong legal knowledge
- Interest in a career in litigation
