A Corporate & Transactions Law Firm is seeking a litigation attorney to join its nationally recognized boutique transportation and logistics practice. This opening is available in the firm's Tampa Bay (downtown St. Petersburg) or Winter Haven locations. We are a small firm with a national footprint, handling complex and challenging matters that make a real business impact across the country. We are looking for an attorney who enjoys problem solving, desires a high degree of client interaction, and embraces the creative challenge of tackling legal issues presented by the fast-paced and dynamic transportation industry.

No prior experience in transportation law is required. We are not your “typical” small firm – we have a unique practice that offers attorneys the opportunity to practice in complex areas of the law, including all forms of litigation, federal transportation regulations, catastrophic injuries in trucking accidents, and employment claims. We handle big law matters with a small firm approach. Attorneys in our litigation department also have the opportunity to work on regulatory and corporate matters. We offer a high degree of substantive client interaction, specialized training and mentoring, independence, and responsibility. Essential Functions & Responsibilities:

Position specifications:
Education:
  • JD from ABA accredited law school and admission to State of Florida bar required (out of state attorneys considered if intending on taking the Florida Bar within 6 months of acceptance of an offer and relocate to Winter Haven or Tampa Bay area.).

Experience:
  • 3-5 years' experience in litigation preferred. Florida experience and prior work in complex commercial and employment law is a plus.
