About the Job:The Art of Smart Law has immediate openings for attorneys licensed in Louisiana, preferably with 3+ years of insurance defense litigation and/or coverage experience. Labor & Employment and Construction Defect experience preferred, but not required. Lateral hires are also welcome to apply. Self-motivated, independent lawyers are best suited for this role.
Top quality work product, excellent academic credentials, exceptional client service, and an ability to work effectively individually and in a team are all required. The candidate must also be skilled and experienced in the following areas: file handling and file management; legal research; drafting opinions, legal memoranda, and compliance advice in a clear and concise manner; conducting depositions and inspections; appearing in court and arguing motions; and assisting in mediation and trial. Some travel, almost exclusively within the State of Louisiana, is required.
