A General Practice Law Firm, seeks a talented and motivated Associate Attorney to join our team. The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a commitment to excellent client service, and a self-starting work ethic. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in litigation and criminal defense law, with a passion for advocating on behalf of clients and a dedication to achieving positive outcomes.Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in civil and criminal litigation
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and briefs
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel and the Court
- Attend Court hearings and trials
- Assist senior attorneys with case management and strategy
Qualifications:
- Admission to the Vermont bar
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong research, writing and analytical skills
- Experience with civil and criminal litigation
- Ideal candidate will have experience working with the Criminal Justice Act (CJA)
