A Full-Service Law Firm Life, Health, Disability and ERISA litigation practice group is seeking an associate to join its growing national practice in our firm's Houston office.?The Position:
Qualifications:
- JD from an Accredited law school
- Admitted to practice in the State of Texas
- 3+ years of litigation defense experience required
- Experience with Life, Health, Disability and ERISA litigation experience (including bad faith lawsuits) required
- Strong knowledge of rules of evidence and procedure required
- Excellent written and analytical skills and a strong attention to detail are required
Responsibilities:
- Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end
- Work closely with other attorneys and Partners around the country on legal projects
- Communicate with clients and provide status reports
- Regularly handle court appearances, written discovery, motion practice, and depositions
