A Brief OverviewThe Legal Counselor assists and supports the Consumer Legal Counselor Manager in the consumer portfolio representation, to maximize the collection efforts and minimize the risk, develops strategies and legal team coordination.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
- Supports the patterns determination and the development of strategies.
- Participates in minimizing the risk and losses of the Bank and its subsidiaries, counsels, and offers conferences, to modify the Bank procedures and practices in compliance with law requisites.
- Determines legal strategies to manage assigned cases according to the related Bank strategies.
- Keeps current with, Bankruptcy and Banking related law changes, continuous education, and related public and private agencies.
- Represents the Bank's consumer portfolio in legal litigations as bankruptcy hearings and creditors meetings.
What You'll Need:
- A Jurist Doctor Degree with Federal and Regional license, as well as three to five years of experience in a similar position are the requirements. This experience must include analysis, orientation, and legal representation in bankruptcy cases (chap. 7 and chap. 13) before the Federal Court.
- Proficiency in oral and written communication in both English and Spanish.
