Description:
As a Labor and Employment Attorney at A Full Service International Law Firm you will be responsible for providing quality legal advice, representing clients in disputes, and managing a wide range of labor and employment matters. This role requires a deep understanding of federal and state employment laws, as well as the ability to handle cases with professionalism and discretion.Key Responsibilities:
- Provide legal representation to clients in labor disputes, employment discrimination cases, wage and hour claims, and other employment-related matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate employment contracts, policies, and procedures.
- Drafting pleadings, including motions, discovery requests and responses, and other substantive filings.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to prepare for litigation and arbitration.
- Represent clients in mediations, arbitrations, conference, depositions, administrative hearings, and court proceedings.
- Develop strategies to minimize risk and efficiently resolve disputes.
- Stay updated with changes in labor and employment law and advise clients accordingly.
Requirements:
- Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
- Licensed to practice law in NY State with good standing.
- Minimally 3-5 years of proven experience in labor and employment law.
- Strong understanding of federal and state employment statues, codes, and regulations.
- Excellent litigation, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Proven track record of effectively managing cases and achieving client objectives.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
