Responsibilities:
- Handle Personal Injury case files from start to finish
- Investigate potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Record and update the status of all case files in the case management system
- Manage a team of legal support staff that directly reports to you
- Potential Responsibilities:
- Appear as legal counsel on the client's behalf at mediations, trials, hearings, depositions, and litigation
- Draft, review, and modify claims, motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
- Delegate tasks and manage a team of litigation paralegals, legal assistants, personal injury paralegals, case managers, and legal secretary
- Communicate with clients, expert witnesses, insurance company adjusters, supporting witnesses, and medical providers to gather information
- Assess potential personal injury claims and provide legal advice to prospective clients accordingly
- Maintain updated status documentation of all case files in the case management system
- Review, modify, and draft motions, discovery responses, demand letters, pleadings, claims, subpoenas, memorandums, and other legal documents
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, medical terminology, and wrongful death is vital
- GA State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Must be computer proficient
- A bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree are required
- Three years of personal injury law experience, pre-suit, litigation or trial experience in wrongful death, premise cases, slip and fall, Motor Vehicle, and Tractor Trailer is a necessity
- Requires a bachelor's degree and a J.D. degree
- Up-to-date knowledge of personal injury law/ tort law, wrongful death, civil and family law, medical terminology, and medical malpractice is imperative
- State license to practice law and State Bar Association membership is mandatory
- Superior research, negotiation, drafting, and communication skills are highly valued
- A minimum of 3 years of personal injury litigation or trial experience in medical malpractice, wrongful death, personal injury, or civil litigation practice areas is necessary
