A Full-Service Litigation Firm is an 8-10 attorney Insurance Defense firm specializing in the defense of personal injury matters, with an emphasis on defending against highly questionable claims (SIU). With a main office in Ontario, we cover most of California with multiple attorneys working remotely across the state. As such, a physical location in Ontario, or remote work is negotiable depending on level of experience.

We are seeking to add an experienced attorney to further assist with our growing clientele and caseload. The attorney would be responsible for their own caseload, reviewing documents/discovery, taking depositions, retaining and consulting with experts, attending court hearings, reporting to clients, and preparing for trial. Opportunities for second chair trial experience and eventually conducting your own trials is available to interested candidates.

Ideally, the candidate will have 6-15 years of prior experience in Personal Injury so that they can begin to assist immediately.

Primary responsibilities would include:
  • Initial File Review, drafting initial evaluations and discovery plans • Deposing and defending party depositions • Working with paralegals on obtaining, reviewing and summarizing medical records • Maintaining contact with clients and reporting • Retaining and consulting with expert witnesses • Taking and defending expert witness depositions • Legal research and memoranda when necessary • Preparing Trial Documents • Second Chair, and potential First Chair Trial experience possible to interested candidates (but not necessary)

Qualifications include, but are not limited to:
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills • High attention to detail • Knowledge of the Discovery Rules and general procedures • Effectiveness in working both independently and collaboratively • Excellent client relations and timely reporting
