Your Impact:
As A Free Online Writing Assistant Company Head of Corporate and Compliance Legal, you will leverage your deep corporate and compliance experience and expertise to support and accelerate A Free Online Writing Assistant Company next era of growth. You will take on critical and high-profile corporate and compliance projects with accuracy, creativity, and ownership. You will use your background and skill to efficiently use outside counsel and build in-house expertise.

In this role, you will:
  • Collaborate cross-functionally across the company at every level on corporate governance and compliance matters.
  • Work on corporate governance matters, including corporate entity management and new entity development and implementation, equity program strategic planning, and board-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to complete M&A transactions, including due diligence, negotiations, and integration planning.
  • Scope, develop, implement, and scale a corporate compliance program and organizational processes to support a maturing company.
  • Develop strategies for handling legal issues in creative ways and build processes for scaling flexible solutions that address risk.
  • Be a cross-functional leader and ensure our work is cohesive, thoughtfully crafted, and executed.

  • Brings extensive experience (10+ years) and a proven background in corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, strategic investments, due diligence, and integration activities, with training at a top-tier law firm and solid in-house experience.
  • Has experience supporting finance and investor relations at a high-growth and innovative technology company and a track record of driving alignment and delivering results on complex, cross-functional projects involving various stakeholders.
  • Shows a track record of managing, developing, and empowering teams.
  • Demonstrates excellent time management skills to juggle multiple time-sensitive projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Is comfortable working with cross-functional teams and advising senior leaders on risk tolerance and balancing to drive the business forward.
  • Communicates clearly and empathetically both face-to-face and in writing.
  • Holds a JD and has been admitted to the bar, with a license to practice law in at least one US state.
