Description:

The Nebraska Attorney General's Office is currently seeking applicants for the position of General Counsel. The General Counsel is a front office attorney who works directly with the Attorney General and who is responsible for policy making efforts, coordinating special litigation, and leading on other projects.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading the Attorney General Office's policy team;
  • Coordinating multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams regarding special litigation, policy, and other projects;
  • Working closely with external governmental offices, including members of the Nebraska Legislature and personnel within the offices of constitutional officers and state agencies;
  • Advising the Attorney General.

The ideal candidate will have at least 4-5 years of civil litigation or policy-making experience. A federal clerkship and big firm experience is preferred.
