We are seeking highly motivated and qualified Family Law/SIJS Attorneys for various offices. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator, team member, manager, and self-starter. The candidate must also possess good business acumen and the desire to work in a fast-paced, high-volume, high-growth practice.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide representation for clients in court in legal cases as pertain to family law.
  • Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences.
  • Attend trials and court proceedings.
  • Oversee and manage the legal issues that transpire between people who are members of the same family.
  • Advise staff on legal matters and interpret laws.
  • Interact routinely with case workers, supervisors, program directors and program administrators.
  • Supervise and direct mediation sessions and offer effective legal advice.
  • Organize and record all official documents required to file cases.
  • Update clients regularly about their cases.
  • Provide expert legal counsel and representation to clients in custody and divorce cases
  • Work with our SIJS Department, closely managing the family law and immigration law components of our client's cases
  • Attend SIJS hearings in courts throughout the state of Maryland

Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in Maryland custody and divorce cases
  • Experience in Maryland family law statutes, procedures, and case law
  • Three years of related law/legal experience
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish)
  • Strong academic record
  • Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools
