Role Description:This is a full-time hybrid role for a Family Law Attorney in the firm's Menlo Park office (candidates interested in working in our San Ramon office will be considered). Day-to-day tasks will include legal research and writing, communicating with clients and experts/attorneys, and court appearances. The firm's attorneys primarily work from home with days in the office as needed for client meetings, deadlines, and to direct staff.
The Family Law Attorney will:
- Receive assignments from multiple partners, independently prioritize tasks, and address assignments simultaneously to meet deadlines.
- Communicate clearly, skillfully, and discreetly with clients, Opposing Counsel, experts, consultants, etc.
- Work well independently and as a team. Work effectively with legal secretaries, paralegals, and fellow attorneys.
- Make court appearances independently and handle various family law hearings on behalf of clients.
Qualifications:
- Candidate should have a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Candidate must be licensed to practice law in California and should have 3 to 6 years of family law experience. High-asset or complex custody/financial experience is ideal.
- Candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to skillfully draft motions, pleadings, letters, memos, and other documents.
- Candidates must possess excellent research skills. Experience with DissoMaster, Lawyaw, Lawgic, WestLaw, and/or Attorney's Briefcase is ideal.
- Candidate must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
